Eleven weeks

Josh is 11 weeks old today!

New Jumperoo

I ordered Josh a Jumperoo a few days ago and it arrived today. He hates "tummy time" so I thought the Jumperoo would help develop his muscles. Anyway, Dave put it together so Josh could try it out tonight and he LOVED it!! His eyes were huge with amazement the whole time he was in there.

Milestones

Today was the last day of my maternity leave. I kept busy and went shopping with Mom/Grammy Ri to Augusta and Waterville. We visited Grampa Padre at work and Joshua experienced a milestone: his first blow-out diaper.

His face was turning red like he was straining and exerting a lot of effort--then I heard the blast. Then another and another. I picked him up from his car seat and he DRIPPED. I have never seen so much poo!

Also Josh went to the doctor today for his 2-month checkup. He weighs 13 lbs, 2 ozs and is 22.5 inches. Seems like he's longer than that since he was 21.5 inches at birth...

Josh has recently discovered his tongue and the ability to make bubbles with it. I think he likes the feeling on his lips. It also makes for lots of drool.
