Busy these days...

Things are busy these days! The weekend was a whirlwind. Friday, Josh and I went to Portland with Melissa. Saturday, Dave, Josh and I went to Yarmouth because Tori who I work with was getting rid of her lil boy's race car bed and gave it to us. Josh is too small for it right now, but it's ready for him in the garage. After that, we went to South Portland to Chucky Cheese. Then Saturday night, Dave had a man-date with the boys to go out to Chinese and bowl, so Josh and I stayed in. He was very tired anyway, and I got to have some time to myself--a rarity! Sunday it snowed all day, so we hung around the house most of the day.

Today, I had the day off from work, so Josh and I hung out at home and got an amazing amount of things done. We did laundry, dishes, cleaned the bathroom, steamed most of the floors, and put laundry away. I was so proud of my best accomplishment of the day: making soup. I thought if I put some toys on the floor in the kitchen that would entertain Josh long enough to make soup. Not so much. As soon as I started chopping veggies, he was tugging at me to pick him up. Being a mommy-genious, I thought, he wants to watch what I'm doing, so I moved his high chair into the kitchen, put some small toys in the tray, and he watched me make soup. He just wanted to see what I was doing, not necessarily be held, which is what my mind automatically thinks when he tugs on me. This is a revalation to me! We had a really good day and I felt more productive than I usually do when it's just me and Josh at home. Now if I could figure out how to vaccuum with him....

Here are some really cute pictures of Josh from the other morning before work. He was just being so adorable, I had to grab the camera! I never do that before work...

He's puckering up for a big kiss!

The same morning... eating a banana chunk and flirting:

I finally ordered the tiny camera that I wanted for Christmas! I really wanted it in red, but it's been out of stock soooooo long that I have grown impatient and ordered the baby blue one. I LOVE my DSLR, I love do the little "photo shoots" with Josh, and I would like to buy some other equipment to make my photos even better (lights, backdrop, reflector, lens kit...), but for everyday snapshot-type photos, I'm really looking forward to using the tiny little super-portable Kodak.
