leaps and bounds

Josh has been growing by leaps and bounds lately. Everything is so interesting to him: looking at dinner in the over (below), letting the water out of the tub, choosing a book to read. He is very interactive, and I don't know if he's advanced, or if it's normal for kids in his age group--but either way I'm so proud! It's so rewarding to see your child grow and know that you're making a difference in his life. It's also good to know that someday so amount of normalcy may return to my life...

Joshy story time! So, Sunday morning he's chilling around Tobey's water bowl, looking like he'd like to step in the bowl. I warn him, tell him no, try to entice him towards something other than the water bowl. Then he steps in it! And instantly cries like a shark has his foot. Of course we grab the camera, like good parents! He was freaking out, so the pics aren't great.

Then he realizes that I have the camera and he's all "cheese!" Notice his eyes look like they have fresh tears. He LOVES the camera. He knows that I want him to smile when I bring it out.

In a very sad note, the last little bit of a baby shower gift that I loved is gone... this lovely Thymes Sweetleaf baby wash. It smells SOOOO GOOD! I may have to buy some more... It lasted a long, long time--probably about 13 of Josh's 15 months. I was very stingy with it though...

And one more related item--the original child, our first born, Tobey. Like the rest of us, he is ready for Spring. Look at his pink nose and long hair! He's like "give me a haircut and let me run outside in the green, green grass!" Poor Tobester, just a couple more months (hopefully!).
