Time to blog

Dave and Josh (and Tobey!!) are out and about this afternoon, leaving me home alone. The dishes are done, laundry is washing, and I have a few minutes, so I shall blog!

I have some updated pictures:

Here's Josh the other morning. His hair was crazy when he woke up and I happened to have the camera upstairs, so I ran and got it and got this shot. He's always to happy when he wakes up in the morning.

We went to the beach on Friday! Not to swim or sunbathe, just to play in the sand. We took Tobey and Daddy came down for lunch and we all had a picnic. It was a beautiful day! Almost too hot, definitely way above normal for May.

Since it was just me to rein in Josh and Tobey on the beach, I didn't even attempt to bring the camera down on the beach. But at lunch, with two adults, I managed to get some pics. Here's Josh getting ready for a stroll on the boardwalk after lunch. He was so tired!

Isn't it so cute? I really want to move to Rockland to live closer to this!

Josh is still in love with his sand box. Here's another of him playing in the sand.

We got Josh a pool on Saturday! It's not set up yet, but hopefully soon. It's big enough for Tobey to cool off some too.

New Pics

Here's the school bus that Josh just LOVES!! Or as he calls it, the "cool us". It has been at his side since we got it on Friday.

This one is from Mother's Day. Josh was very lovey all day. This one is of him giving a "nosey" (which is an Eskimo kiss, his form of affection).

This one is Josh flipping out trying to get in my car. He has a little mohawk going on, you can sort of see it if you look closely.

This is my FAVORITE!! I wanted to get Josh a sandbox, one with a cover for sanitary reasons, and I had not found one locally, so Dave had started to look online. Well, no need! He found one at Walmart on his lunch break and brought it home on Monday. Right away we ran up to Grammy and Grampa's and bummed some sand off them. Dave filled it tonight. Josh loved it and wanted to keep playing all night! He loved it so much, he wouldn't even pose for the camera like usual. I can't wait until Friday so I can play all day in the sand with Josh!!

Eighteen months

Today Josh is 18 months old! He's growing up so fast... Yesterday I took him shopping in Augusta and I won't lie--it was torture! At Kohl's, he was in the cart, then wanted out and screamed "up up up" until I took him out. Then he wanted to touch (eeeek!) the wheel of the cart. For a while he was walking next to the cart pushing it. That was good entertainment for him, but I couldn't stop and look at anything. At another point, I distracted him with a granola bar so I could shop, but I got nasty looks from the Kohl's employees. At Christmas Tree Shop, he say a school bus from 30 feet way and freaked out about it! He is so fascinated with anything with wheels, it's kinda scary. I put the bus in the cart and he flipped out (he couldn't see it). He cried and kicked and threw a fit until we got out to the car, where he sat in the car seat with the bus in his lap. (It's big! I'll try to get a pic.) Next time, I'll need to enlist reinforcements to go shopping!
